The Keep Australia Beautiful NSW Sustainable Cities Sustainability Awards has been rewarding and recognising projects around litter, waste management, recycling and other environmental areas in metropolitan councils and urban communities since 1994.
The Sustainable Cities Awards inspire councils, communities, businesses and schools to make a genuine and lasting contribution to their area and enter into the Sustainable Cities Awards program to vie for a category win or the Overall NSW Sustainable City award. In 2024 this Awards day will be held in October hosted by the 2023 winner, Penrith.
ENTRIES FOR THE 2024 AWARDS ARE NOW OPEN!
The search is on for councils, towns, organisations, businesses and individuals across Greater Sydney who are leading the way to a sustainable future!
These annual awards inspire councils and communities to make a genuine and lasting contribution to their area. There are a broad range of award categories to enter with emphasis on partnerships between local authorities, businesses, community groups, schools and individuals.
You don’t need to be a KAB NSW member to enter and there are no entry fees.
The benefits of entering the awards are many, to which those who have taken part can testify. Your communities, volunteers and hard work can gain recognition, in turn assisting with grant funding, future planning approvals and state-wide credibility. In addition to the increase in civic pride, community organisations can position themselves as leaders in their area of expertise.
